Also known as sweet red pepper or pimento pepper, the paprika is larger and much milder than the chili pepper. Hungarian paprika is a bit hotter and slightly less sweet than Spanish paprika. It is used to add warm, natural color and mildly spicy, pungent flavor to soups, stews, grains and a variety of hors d'ouvres and entrees.
